Crazy dog

I've made the following card with one of a set of new stamps I bought recently, using leftover birthday money I had (my birthday was in April, how restrained am I?). I've seen these stamps used on several blogs and they make me smile every time I see them. Imagine my excitement when I found out that they had co-ordinating dies!

This card is a bit out of my comfort zone as I don't really do clean and simple, more like messy and simple. I really enjoyed making it though so I can see me making more like this, although this is my second attempt as I realised, when the card was finished, that the sentiment was wonky.

Good old Snowy again

Thank goodness I didn't get rid of my favourite stamp, during my craft stash purge, because I recently discovered there's a die for it! Wahay! I don't suppose it's one of the hardest stamp images to cut out, but I don't have the patience for that which is probably why I never took to decoupage. Please excuse the photo, I found this card a right pain in the bum to get a half decent photo of and this is the best of a bad bunch.

For years they were my least favourite cards to make and I think it was because I used to stick to Christmas papers, which I found boring as they were usually red and green, but now that I use almost any papers I find them much more enjoyable to make

Carolling Hedgehogs

Another Christmas card. I know Christmas is still a while away, but for the past couple of years I've given out shop-bought Christmas cards (I know, the shame) so I want to make sure I've got enough handcrafted ones to give out this year. I saw this stamp on a well known auction site and had to buy it. The way I'm going I'll have replenished my stamp stock in no time!

My favourite stamp

I've used my favourite stamp on this card. Snowy was one of the very first Penny Black stamps I bought when I first got into stamping (I bought around five Penny Black stamps at once, which was either brave or stupid of me as I didn't know if I'd be able to colour them). I stopped making cards for a long while and gave away/sold a LOT of craft stuff, including stamps, but I just couldn't give this wee guy up.
