ABC Christmas Challenge - E, F & G

It's the first Wednesday of the month, so that means it's time for a new challenge over at the ABC Christmas Challenge. Carol's our host and we have three themes this month, which are -

'E for Embellishments' 

'F for Fabric'

  and 

'G for Glitz'

I've combined all three themes on this card. The gems are the embellishments, the lace is the fabric and I've added glitter to the snow for the glitz part, as well as there being glittery snowflakes on the paper. The snow isn't obvious in this photo so I've added another photo, which hopefully shows it up a bit better

A card, hurrah!

This card has taken me over a month to complete. I attached the papers to the card base, stamped the image and that's as far as I got for ages. I'm starting to wonder if my mojo was packed away with the Christmas tree.

I've combined both challenges with my card. I found quite a few candy images on my House-Mouse CD and finally went with this cutie. I have a confession to make. I love House-Mouse images and I'm mainly a stamper, but I really don't enjoy colouring House-Mouse stamps so this CD is just perfect for me. I just thought I'd better point that out in case someone believed I'd done an amazing job at colouring this image.

Quill's Birthday

This is the card I made for my Mum's birthday. She loves hedgehogs, and it seems she's getting a bit of a reputation as the mad hedgehog lady because only one of her birthday cards didn't feature one this year.

I've chosen to do the 'V for Very Quick' theme. One of the cards I made for our last challenge gave me an idea. I already had a Core'dinations pad cut into 6x6 sheets, so I took a sheet of each colour (thirty-six of them) embossed half of them with an Apple Blossom 'Merry Christmas' folder and the other half with an Apple Blossom 'Winter Snow' folder, then trimmed, sanded and attached to card blanks. I fluffed up five of them, but these were so quick and easy it took me around the same time to complete thirty-one cards than it usually takes me to make one using papers and a stamped image
